OEM Z Tube, Stillen Z Tube, Or Carbon Fiber Z Tube?
I've had the UTR CF tube when I had a CF engine cover and now have a Stillen Z-tube now that I run no cover. The only downside to the UTR CF was it wasn't very smooth on the inside compared to a molded plastic tube, but it looked great. It also used a breather filter instead of having the feed like a regular tube. The Stillen tube works fine, is nothing special, but has no fitment issues whatsoever.
sorry for the noob question but what is a z tube what does it do? whats a jwt pop charger what does that do? z tube is part of an intake? can u put a z tube on a cold air intake? cold air intake mostly perferred?

Z tube on the left G tube on the right

Z tube/pop charger intake
The Pop-Charger is that blue filter assembly that you see in the above pic, along with the aluminum heat shield. No worth it IMO, unless you like a bit more intake noise and the looks.
I lost power with mine, and went back to the stock box with a K&N panel filter after a few weeks.

How did you notice a drop in power witht the popcharger?
Stillen z-tube is an injection molded piece of plastic crap with an ugly texture and a nasty mold seam running down it.
It's fully functional but it gets no points for presentation.

Iam going with the z tube and K&N filet I have heard nothing but good things about it. All I hear is that the pop charger gets heat soaked really bad and stalls the vehicle! Soo stay basic . And screew stillen. Oem z tube all da way
I'm gonna dig this thread up from 3 months ago. I was lookin at Stillen's Page and they have a Z Tube for 58 bux, or a combo Z tube w/ thier Intake for 241. I see all over don't go w/ stillen go w/ oem, stillen is the same as oem, it doesn't make a dif go w/ cheaper etc.
It's really hard to find the answer your looking for w/ so many mixed reviews. I'll be honest I want it more for sound than looks, so if the Stillen is an Injected mold w/ a seam running down it and it performs the same as an OEM Z tube then thats fine with me. But is the Intake worth the extra 190 bux?

No. The stock airbox is very good at pulling in cold air. Throw a K&N in there and you are fine.
