Is it ok to tap into this wire???
Is it ok to tap into this wire???
I'm using a pic from sean@riversideinfiniti for this post...FREE advertising for him
I recently installed a Daytime Runing Light kit on the car...1-wire for ground, 1-wire tapped into the fog lights and 1-fused wire connected to the battery.
I was also supposed to wrap the SIGNAL wire around a spark plug wire (or other 12v source)...I tried wrapping it around one of the Coil wires, but this didn't work so I decided to tap into another wire I found which was live only when the key was turned to ON. This is the wire/connector that is circled in RED in the pic at the top of the engine bay. I just want to make sure that I'm not screwing anything up by tapping into this wire...is this OK guys??

lol no do not tap that wire.. tho if you want to make sure..
get a volt meter and see if the values change upon start up or driving.. if it stays 12v all the time then its a power wire and u may tap into that
