that is not possible on a stock car because 6mt is right at 3k at 80mph. At 80 mph 5AT should be well over 3000 rpm.

I don't believe so - i was looking at it today actually. I will double check on my way home, but i am 95% sure it was at 3000 rpms at 80mph.

If you are talking about an 07/08 sedan that sounds about right. The gearing is a bit different in these models as compared to the 1st gen sedans.
On 1st gen automatic RWD sedans the rear dif is 3.357:1 and on all modefs of 2nd gen sedans the rear dif is 3.692:1 so as you can see it is going to rev higher

Alright well i just got home from work and while i was on the freeway i double checked and even took some pictures, but the pictures i will have to upload at work tomorrow.

Nothing has been done to the drivetrain - Stock 5 speed auto and differential

80mph = 2800 rpm
83mph = 3000 rpm

if it was not that high then the cars acceleration would suck starting on 1st gear. Those 5 speeds had to be more far apart meaning in each gear u can accelerate longer but slower.

Nismo that is very weird. When u get the car dynoed make sure u pay attention to the speedo and rpm tach and see how inacurate it shows. I know our cars are about 300-400rpm off on the tach at high rpm and show 3-5mph faster on the speedo. Ur tach might be off more than that.

According to my AFC it is almost dead on. The actual tach registers within 200 rpm of the afc...like sflg35 said - his is the same as mine.
