Will 20' rims void warrenty if I need new Transmission?

My G coope has 50k, When I hit the gas hard my car will not shift from 1st to 2nd. When I drive it normal it shifts ok until 3rd or 4th and it starts making a noise, its very strange. I have no idea what is wrong with it, so I am going to have it checked out by the dealership. I have 20 inch rims on it and wanted to know if they will try to tell me if it is the transmission that they will void the warrenty because of the aftermarket rims. Should I take them off before I go up there? thanks
