air mass sensor affects car reving ?

hey i posted this in another sectiopn but i figured it would do better here in the tech section.

I picked up a g35 and the intake is missing including the air mass sensor. it starts and runs, but when i try to rev it up or get on it, it bogs down and doesnt let me rev period. can the lack of an air mass sensor be responsible for this, or is it something else?

It would be great if someone here could just go to their car for 2 mins and unplug the airmass switch on their intake real quick and try to rev it and tell me how it reacts.

thanks guys.

you better go back were you got it from and find out what happend to the intake and the MAF (Mass-Air Flow) sensor.

most cars go into limp mode if they dont get a reading from the MAF
