Question Oil Nissan 5W-40. Any good?

At my local Nissan dealer I was offered an official Nissan oil for my G.
They say that they use it for all VQ engines. Is it any good for a street driving? I don't track my car at all.

Also was wondering what other fluids I should change in my car? I bought it used and would like to change all fluids that i possibly can.

What can they be? Please specify makes and models plz.

Thx a lot in advance ppl.

Guys, plz advise what should I use?
I've got a 05' stock G coupe and it's for daily street driving.
I live in the country where I can get access only to Castrol and Mobile1 oils
If i had to choose between those brands - which oil should I go for with my needs?

if you want to run dino oil then stick with castrol gtx, their 5w-30 has tested well. i ran that for approx. 12k miles then switched the mobile 1 5w-30. after seeing the analysis on my350z, i switched to mobile 1 0w-40. as far as 40 weights are concerned, it is the thinner of the bunch. check out the info on my350z, im pretty sure there is a link from here. tons of great information in that thread.

It's simple. Use the recommended oil in your owners manual. 5W30 whether dino or synthetic. Thicker oils than recommended may limit lubrication properties and will reduce your fuel economy. Consider changing the trans fluid, the rear diff fluid and flushing the brake fluid depending on the previous service history.
