What did you use before PP and did you burn before? I wonder if it's because both PP and Mobil are mostly Grp III base stocks?

A mix of Amsoil ASL/ASM 5w-30/10w30. That burned ~1qt in 5k. Its because I have a revup engine. I only ran the OEM oil for 2k, but I burned 1/2qt then also. I'm just going to live with that amount of burn off.

Got some data to support that? Amsoil is pretty highly rated

I'm sure this is just your personal preference. Doesn't seem like anyone has real facts & data to prove what's really more effective.

No real data, but on my revup motor, Mobile1 is always down to maybe half quart (if not less) when I change the oil and Amsoil gets pretty low too. It's never that bad since I've been using Motul or Royal Puple... and it's always full synthetic 5-20

Found some german castrol today at Auto Zone. Wondering if I should get this, I have an oil change in about 900 miles.

0w30 is pretty thick so would this be OK in the summer time or am I retarted about motor oil and that has nothing to do with anything?

^ a 0w30 will be less viscous than a 5w30 during cold starts; you will be fine.
