Synthetic or Conventional

Before everyone decides that this is yet another opportunity to share their opinion why one oil is better than the other, or that it doesn't matter which you use... Stop. This post is a little different.

I've been reading up some, and there's a lot of debate about types of oil, and which filter is best, and the optimum oil change interval, etc, etc, etc... I'd like to perform a poll, what oil do you use, which weight, which oil filter, how often do you change?

I'll start....

I'm only at 2200mi. I have a free oil change from the dealer, which I'll be taking at 3750. After that, I'm considering going to a synthetic to run 7500mi intervals. Or I might splurge on a bypass filter and go 15k/1yr intervals. Undecided, with time to think about it.

Royal Amsoil Reddish-Purple 0W50
Neutron Energy Field filtering device
Continuous-Oil Exchange - there's a reservoir in the trunk that feeds into the engine, and it drains into a second tank. I have to dump one tank and fill the other one every 50 miles.

Err... that's what happens when I'm awake for more than 30 hours at a time.
