your friend should have bought a 2.5 inch piping exhaust... as for you search for an exhaust that you like... i dont get why people ask for what exhaust they should get... its all up to you... youtube has some good vids of different exhausts

there is HKS, Fast Intentions, Stillen, Top Speed Pro just to name a few

btw unless you plan on FI you will need to go with a 2.5 exhaust

without an FI application you lose too much low end torque with a 3 inch exhuast, the 2.5 is the perfect medium between losing some backpressure and not all that much torque down low, and more or less changes the powerband in the upper RPMs where u will really see the exhuast shine

IMO, Fast Intentions was the only one that didn't have a ricey sound. It preserves the tonal quality of the VQ motor, but made it deeper and louder. It sure is a beautiful sound.

I had resonated TPs installed as well and I definitely noticed an increased responsiveness. At WOT, it just sounds badazz.

I was planning on getting a 3inch exhaust and eventually getting a turbo down the road (way down the road) but I guess that would not be too wise. Thanks for filling me in.

Yeah stick to 2.5" or smaller diameter with NA applications... high boost turbo applications can benefit from 3"
