oil

Hey Fellow G members I just purchased a G35 coupe and didn't come with a manual im pretty sure theres a thread about it but i just want to stay on the safe side. My question is what oil do you use? and what is recommended so far i have about 30,xxx miles on the car and im curious what oil would the car be running now

I still take my G to the dealer for oil changes..........many do their own, but its just easier and I can document all my services for when I sell it off.

I believe the OEM recommended oil is 5W 30W. Depending on how/where you drive the car, you can easily adjust it to suit your needs.

They also recommend oil/filter changes at 3,750 miles. I usually dump both oil and filter every 3,000.

Syntec or Mobil-1 are both great synthetic oils.

so the car is alredy running synthetic? or was it using regular oil?

Mobil-1 or amsoil fill synthetic... 5w-30... change it every 3K miles or 3 months...

on3nonlyjimmy the car comes running regular oil

I would run the oil for 6,000 miles if it is synthetic. I think 3,000 is a waste of money and perfectly good oil

Go with the German/ European Castrol 0w30. and use OEM oil filter.

German Castrol 0W30 and an oversized Purolator or Mobil-1 oil filter. That's the only thing I run in my G35. German Castrol is worth it's weight in gold.
