oil to use

which is the best oil to use when changing the oil. my friend at work said just use factory oil what do you guys think?

um...

its pretty hard to find a "bad" oil.

anything that is 5w30 or 10w30 should be fine.

I use Amsoil 0w-30, it's great.

I've searched the forum extensively and from what I can gather, most people are extremely happy with Amsoil or German Castrol. I personally use German Castrol 0W-30, and have had no problems with it.

I am in the process of switching to Amsoil this weekend, buying it all and doing it all myself. Nothing is more fun than getting down and dirty with your car.
I will post up impressions of any differences I note as there is dino oil in it now.
