Idle Air Volume Learning - The car does not remember after a restart!

I have done the ECU reset, the throttle and acceleration relearns, and the Idle Air Volume Learning. The car will learn them fine, and even run fine. However after I re-start the car, all of the learning procedures are gone, and it throws code P0507 and I am back to square 1 (high idle issues, CEL).

Is there anyway to make the Idle Air Volume Learning "stick" to the ECM? Everytime I start the car, I need to do the Idle Air Volume Learning to get it to run properly.

I cleaned my throttle body initially, which is causing all of this horror. The dealership has told me to replace the throttle body...I have a feeling they may be trying to scam me.

replace the throttle body. either that or swap one with another car. if its not the throttle body might be the ecu itself. are you doing the iavl with a consult or manually?

I am doing the re-learn manually, not with consult. I asked the dealership to do it with consult, instead htey told me to buy a new tb from them and have it installed by them which sucks.

go in and talk to one of the techs. tell him you'll give him 20 bucks to try to do the idle learn with consult. if it wont go through just change the throttle body. theres really no way around po507 unless you have iavl complete confirmation. there is no definite way to know if it completed manually. if consult doesnt say complete, tell the tech to disconnect the maf and stall the car out. reconnect the maf right before you do iavl again. if that doesnt work try disconnecting each injector clip or ign coil (whichever you prefer, nissan recommends injectors) while the iavl is being performed to drop the rpms into target idle range. chances are the idle rpm is gonna either not respond or its gonna keep toggling between 1-2k

Go to another dealer...If there aren't any near you, then get a used TB from either this forum or my350z...They pop up once in a while usually for around $50-$100 from what i've seen.

I honestly believe they can just recalibrate your throttle body and it will run good as new...Same exact thing happened to me...How much are they charging

you for a new TB? Like you said they might be trying to make a buck off you...Here's a used one I found in the Marketplace from a seller with 84 itrader feedback.
