Congrats!

Hoping my gf will get a new engine for the cooling problem (overheated 4 times in 6 weeks and getting a new rad and thermostat) on her '03 sedan.

New engine on an '03 because of cooling issues? Never heard that one. How did you get away with it?

Engine replacement was for the oil consumption issue. Not aware of any cooling problems.

I don't think there is a service bulletin for the cooling issues. First time I've seen a post on that. I got a new engine because it was burning a lot of oil.

It's in the hands of corporate now and consumer affairs. Will start a thread when appropriate.

Sorry for the jack.

No OC issues for the automatics, only 6 speeds.

The TSB was and is for the 2006-2007 (first half year of 07's) Revup engines (6MT). I am surprised though at the number of 05's getting engines replaced. Here we see an 03. I haven't seen any issues with autos though, you should be fine.

I am taking mine in today for OC and knocking. From what I understand if there is unusual engine noise then the OC test is not necessary. They are just instructed to replace the engine. btw, mine is an 05 coupe 6mt.
