Interest in Braided Hoses

Hey all...there is the possibility that I may be able to get a braided hose kit packaged for the G's. This would be a kit for coolant and vac hoses, a tranny kit and verification of the brake kits for the G.

Once measured and packaged, you would will have the options of choosing

Pro-Lite 350

or

Perform-O-Flex Steel Braided

Hyper Firm Brake Kits (incl Brembo)

and connectors in red or blue (or both) & black:

Tranny/oil Coolers

If I get these kits created, would anybody be interested...I would also be looking at upgrading our fuel lines & power steering hoses.

Please let me know, as the production of these kits would be contingent on interest.

I currently have about my smaller coolant and vac hoses done in ProLite 350:

Cheers, ted

Re: Interest in Braided Hoses

I'd pay for a set of vacuum hoses. I like the Pro Earl's and think they look great on your ride. I'd want chrome or anodized black connectors. Not interested in brake lines or coolant hoses however unless you packaged the coolant hoses with the vacuum maybe, but I'm not touching my brake lines.

What about your silicone hoses? Are you replacing them with braided?

I would be interested so long the price was reasonable and there would be sets available with different options.

Re: Interest in Braided Hoses

Braided hose cannot be used on the 2+" radiator hoses... just too dang big. So I'll prolly use the SAMCOs on the 3 big hoses and the little resevoir hose. The top hose for the block is already prolite and will stay that way.

Nobody said it would be "cheap", but then again this is performance stuff folks. In any case, this thread is to gauge interest so i have something to back up my discussions re: creation of kits for G35's.

Stay tuned.

Cheers, Ted

Re: Interest in Braided Hoses

I would like the pro lite hoses and colored connectors. I ordered the wire looms in blue and they are a pain in the a$$ to put on. I also got blue electrical tape. It looks okay but those would look better.

Do you know of any kits that are currently available using braided steel rubber hoses?

The braided hose fad went out of style a long time ago, everyone switched over to silicone hoses as aftermarket replacement.

The only time you see braided hose anymore is either for the actual abrasion protection used for -AN fittings for things like fuel lines, or for brake lines, or on old muscle cars because those guys never got with the current times.
