Low-End HP Question.

Quick question here. From what I have been reading, most upgrades seem to be more productive at producing HP at higher RPM's (sometimes losing some hp/tq at lower RPM's).

Since I am not flooring it around town, which upgrades will help me out in the lower end of the RMP band? Not looking to go FI BTW.

P.S. Look at my Sig to see my current mods.

Thanks,
Patrick

4-2-1 headers, different size spacer.

Not cheap for the headers, and you''ll lose top end. Headers just shift the power band.

Get rid of the intake and possibly the exhaust and add gears like OCG35 said. Keep in mind you'll loose cruise control though and you're MPGs will be impacted. I had the Borla TD and it definitely hurt the lowend punch of the car. The car simply didn't leave the line hard, even with my typical brake-stall 2,400rpm launch.

Ehh, Cruise control is a big luxury to me lol... Is there anything else I can ADD to help with me low-end rpm problem?
I like the mods I have now, is getting rid of them the only option?

high flow cats

but I think you'd be very happy with 3.692 ring and pinion gears.

Or do both like I did

Two things: Is "3.692" to same as "3.7" therefore my cruise control WILL remain? Where do I purchase this?

Also, Will resonated TP's do the same thing as the HFC, or will the HFC's do something a little different...other than making my car legal of course.

get rid of the pop charger. It makes the car feel like a chocking dog trying to pull the leash till u get up to speeds above 80mph.

Not on an 03 or early 04 car. You have an 04.5 and for whatever reason, changing the gearing works without impacting the use of CC. I've reasearched the heck out of this and pretty much if you plan to run gears in 03/04, you can kiss the use CC good bye if you want to cruise at speeds over 70mph. It won't work if you have the CC on and then exceed ~70mph. And when you exceed 70mph with the CC engaged, it won't reengage until you restart the car.
