hi, i have been searching and searching and searching
now its time i ask, i need some suggestions for modding
i want some power back that was lost
on paper its 280hp and 270tq, but in reality, to the wheels are about 220whp and 225wtq(in perfect conditions, if thats possible)

the mods i am planning are as followed:

motordyne 5/16th iso copper thermal spacer

Flex-a-lite 3000CFM Fan Kit

jwt pop charger with z-tube

stillen grounding kit

UpRev Osiris ECU Reprogram

and of course, FINE TUNING FROM Z-TUNE

i would have gotten the mrev2 but mine is an auto and not a rev-up engine, so its not worth it
i would have gotten the Unorthodox Racing Ultra SSc Stock Diameter Pulley Set, but i was told it CAN cause premature failure of the crankshaft due to vibrations that aftermarket pulley's dont absorb(but if someone can argue this then im all for it!!!)

my price range is $2000

i do NOT want FORCE INDUCTION so i dont want to hear "save up for FI"
this is my everyday, daily driving/cruising car
i have no need for 380WHP++
i live in vancouver, all city streets!

i just want a little bit more power/power that was lost

alos i have read about people getting a utech, and people getting the up-rev osiris ecu reprogram....but i still dont know which one is better???? can someone pls enlighten me??

thank you all for the comments and suggestions you are about to post, i look forward to reading and absorbing all the info that will be said
thanks

WOW, that was what I was thinking. Spacer is good but you can save some with out going with copper since it's really no use. I would go with gordgee ground 10 wire if you really want some noticeable change. I am also thinking of getting osiris but want to get everything in before I do that. I believe it's the best there is to offer right now with out having to send in our ecu. I would stay away from the pulley, I don't think it's worth the hassle. If you still have money after the tune then maybe get some sway bars, doesn't add hp directly but give you better corning and more speed in to turns.

Increasing power NA is tough, the only other thing is hi flow cats or test pipes. I am trying to do exactly what you want to do. Going to Z tune for some advice will definitely be a good thing.

Get those N/A mods and tune it with a utech. Our fastest N/A 350Z here in Vegas has almost every bolt on possible plus a utech. With a good tune, you'll get about 15-25whp.

thanks for the advice nismog35driver, as for the ground 10 wire, Z tune doesnt have any, they do have the 8 gauge, which is what im gonna get
i wanna get all my parts from z-tune, cause maybe i can cut a little bit off the labour and price, cause we all know that they gotta make profit off parts and labour
nevertheless, they do offer really good prices in bc, and there reputation is good
the utech isnt worth it for me, i dont plan on having THAT much modding done, and the uprev osiris has had a lot of happy customers
i would want headers and cats and all that but i am just so in love with the sounds that our stock exauhst produces, and with the jwt pop charger(intake with heat sheild) it'll sound even more unique

maybe further down the road i'll look into some high flow cats and y-pipe, but not just yet

There's no need for a UTEC for NA when such great tuning software such as Osiris is available.

To the OP:

First, 220 RWHP is definately not what the G35 (non-revup) makes unless you are running it on a dyno dynamics. Most dynojets would read 230-240 rwhp, and most dynapacks would read 250-265 rwhp. (It also depends on each individual calibration...so no two dyno's are alike unless they are calibrated to have a similar output.).

Don't worry too much about peak numbers. Just make sure you get a baseline dyno for stock and stick to that dyno for consistency and better accuracy. It is always interesting to see how the whole power curve changes with a few good mods.

If you want to get the most power out of NA without doing a costly NA build, I would suggest you raise that budget of yours a little more.

For NA (non-revup), the modifications I would consider is:

Exhaust, Test Pipes, MD Spacer, UpRev Osiris, and 3.7 gears (for automatics).

I won't say how much it costs because im not 100% if I remember correctly.

It might impact your highway MPG by a little. But its not much. Going from 3.3 to 3.7 would increase your RPM at 65 MPH by 250 RPM and 325 RPM at 80 MPH.

If you want to know more, you can probably PM Mike (OCG35). I'm sure he can let you know how much he paid for his and how it affected his performance & MPG.

i'm doing the same thing....so far i have impul catback, MD 5/16 spacer, z-tube with KN filter, and im going to get the uprev Osiris ECU flash b/c i am near them and will get dyno tune from them. Probably wont be another month or two until i get the tune though. But I do plan on getting some HFCs to go with the exhaust.

I've good reviews about Gordgees grounding kit too so you might want to look into that.

i went to z-tune today and i got a quote on parts and labour
not bad...unfortunately the sales rep and the mechanic told me that i shouldnt get the flex-a-lite 3000 cfm fan because our fan has 2 modes, he says im better off keeping my stock one
as for the gordgee grounding kit, i have herd a lot of good reviews, but i decided to get the buddy club racing spec condencer which consists of a grounding kit and a battery current and voltage stabilization control unit.
