what kind of motor oil?

I have choosen to go with a new company call eneos because they are supposed to give 6rwhp over royal purple and the local race shop puts it in their 1200rwhp supra so my question was should i got with 5w30 which is synthetic or 5w40 which is full synthetic and btw I live in philadelphia the coldest it gets in winter is -10F

It's not a new oil company. They've been around a long time in Japan as Nippon and Eneos.

I wouldn't believe the claim.

LOTS of oil threads, do a search.

5W30 should do you nicely, only need 40 if it gets REALLY hot where you are.

What is good for a race engine and what is good for a street engine are usually worlds apart as the two different engines operate in two entirely different environments. Many times maximum horsepower can be created at the expense of reduced long-term engine wear, which is of no concern to a race engine, but is of course of pivotal importance for a street engine.

If you look at the product data sheet of the oil you mentioned v.s. other oils on the market, you may discover it doesn't compare well.

I personally use and offer to my customers AMSOIL 0W-30 and have had wonderful results.

I seriously doubt that.... or at least know that you would get that 14 HP on a G35 if the test was done by an unbiased party.

If they got 14 HP at the wheels soley from an oil type change, it must have been on some type of crazy modified version of a track-ready car that already put down like 800 HP and probably revs really high to begin while using some crappy oil.

On a G35, you'd be lucky to detect a 5-8 HP difference at the wheels between the most efficient and least efficient oils out there on the market... nevermind the difference between Royal Purple/Mobil-1 and Eneos resulting in 14 HP.
