How about a plenum/hi-flow cat combination? Possibly Kinetix or Crawford depending on your preference. You should get the biggest gains out of these two items. (Best bang for the buck imo).

Re: I can spend about a grand.

You could also keep saving and get a bigger-ticket item.
But how you spend it depends on your priorities.
My suggestions:

Speed>> Crawford
Sound first, then speed>> exhaust
Looks>> Tint/ grill/ lip
Looks plus handling>> wheels
Handling plus looks>> suspension
Interior>> blue dash/ DVD
Lot of Highway driving>> Valentine1
Happy with the car>> weekend getaway with girlfriend...
No girlfriend>> booze and hookers
(jes kiddin'... ;-)

fujitsubo exhaust and/or Y pipe = 1200

just the Y = 400 (plus plenum!!) = 800 (200 for msc stuff)

Re: I can spend about a grand.

Two Words - Crawford Plenum. Best Bang for the Buck out there. Since you have the CIA, you wont need the "Z" tube. With what's left over - Crawford Cats. That should do it. Next mod when you get some more cash - Borla dual system.

Re: I can spend about a grand.

Personally I'd go for the Kinetix plenum. It's 300 bucks cheaper and you get to keep your core. You can also get the matching cats still staying under a G.

Re: I can spend about a grand.

Catatafish, It's funny you mention that cause i'm turning 18 this month so that could be a possibility. I also already have done all me lights and clear corners and now have the need for speed. I think i'll get the plenum and something else. I'm kinda scared of cats because they are illegal and if I don't pass an emissions test my dad would kill me.
