A/F Gauge or Monitor

Anyone monitor thier A/F ratio with a guage or other monitor. I have no Nav and would like to be able to do this without a laptop. Nitro kits come with an AF guage right - cant we just use on of those. I would imagine it piggbacks the MAF sensor somehow?? Am i out there or is this easy?

Re: A/F Gauge or Monitor

Your air fuel ratio is measured at the tailpipe. Infiniti uses what they call an alpha reading, 100% is where you want it to read, lower means richer and higher would mean leaner. and it can be monitored with our scanner. Why would you want this reading?

Re: A/F Gauge or Monitor

you can use a simple A/F gauge from autometer but those are usually not very accurate since the reading changes based on the temp of the stock o2 sensor.. if you want the best accurate reading get the new aem wideband 02 Sensor with a Gauge..

Re: A/F Gauge or Monitor

If you ever intend to use FI this setup seems to be the best value. Both display and logging capablity. The only unit I've seen than can log "EGT" along with RPM, Boot , A/F. You really should add a bung just before one of the CATS for this setup . Anything tapped post CAT is worthless for tuning purposes.
