Had to go to two different shops to find someone that could take the old pulley off... an alignment shop had the right tools and know-how and did the install in about an hour - owever, they ran into a problem with the belts that were shipped with the pulley (not the recommended ones as per the instructions) - they said one of the belts was too short and the other was too long (???) - they ended up using the belts that were recommended in the instructions and everything turned out ok - later on yesterday evening, however, I did notice a substantial squeek a few times (could be the belts are just wearing in) - but after driving for a few minutes, the squeek went away - I started the car up this morning and have driven it around three separate times and have not noticed the squeek today... I'm going to give it a few days to set in and then take it back to the alignment shop to have them tighten the belts...

Impressions: definitely revs faster than before - just as noticable of a difference as the test pipes... I am very pleased with the results and definitely recommend this mod to anyone looking for 6-8 rwhp for around $300 installed... just ask if you have any other questions, and I'd like some input from others who have done this mod about the squeeking (is it something I need to worry about?)

Do you have just the crank pulley or the whole set?

 

just the crank pulley - it has been two days and the squeel is gone - I started it up this morning prepared to hear a squeel, but all I got were smooth, fast revs! Definitely worth the money IMO...

Mine has been sitting in the garage for a week and if it has the wrong belts I only have 10 days to return them. Is there any chance you have the part # of the exact belts or the wrong belts? Thank you.

i had the squeaks as well after 3 days of install, took it back to the dealer and the tighten the belts....

 

The recommended belts should work fine, given the available adjustment to tighten them up. I know UR recommends Gates brand belts, but most places will have catalogs to cross reference the same numbers.

well, I took it back today during my lunch hour to the shop that installed it for me - I told them that I still had the squeeks whenever I first would start the car and during initial acceleration and they looked at the belts and tightened them up as much as they could... he said they were pretty tight, so I don't know... whenever I left there, no squeeks - but we'll have to see - I hope they are ok now
