Dealership cant fix the problem of brake and axel

I just came back from the Tustin Infiniti to check my car for brake and axel on the right side.... I have new rotors/pads installed but still on the way back home, I hear squeak sound and clicking noise on the speed bumps... Also when they take out the lugnuts for the wheels, they freakin scratch everywhere.... Sigh!!! Anybody has same problems?? I dont know how they take out the lugnuts but damn.. pisses me off........

Re: Dealership cant fix the problem of brake and axel

Hey Bro,
We have run into this issue on some G35's at my shop. We have been doing the following. Removing the axle in the back. Where the axle goes intot he hub, it is splined and rust builds up causing the squeek. We clean the hub and spline on the axle and apply white grease and re-assy. And it goes away.....Let me know if it works or if you have any other questions.

Re: Dealership cant fix the problem of brake and axel

I had the clicking noise. Heard 2 clicks coming from the rear passenger wheel at every take off. First time the dealer readjusted everything in the back but still couldn't get the sound to go away. Second time I did a bit of research and told them to retorque the axle bolt/nut to spec and to reoil the rear axle. No more noise. Although, they also gave me new rear rotors and brake pads?? At least that's what the work order said and what the service manager told me. Can't complain. Guess I got new pads and rotors . They also told me I had more than 50% of my pads left up front after 30k miles. Brembos! Mostly highway miles too, so I don't get on my brakes that much. How can you tell if your rotors are new? I looked at them, and they don't look all too different from the fronts, just a bit smoother.

Re: Dealership cant fix the problem of brake and axel

You would pretty much have to measure the rotors to see if they are new. New ones will look smother and well, new....We went though the torture of isolating these noise on our customers G35's and replaced almost everything before we found out what the real noise was. Glad this is helping..........

Re: Dealership cant fix the problem of brake and axel

I'm dropping off my car on Tuesday morning 5/18/04 and hopefully get my car back on 5/20/04...
1) They are going to check the parts that you told me
2) They need to re-paint my brembo calipers at the bodyshop
3) Fixing Rattling noise from the rear view mirror

*After this doesn't fix the problems, I'm gonna be pissed at bodyshop and the Tustin infiniti dealership.

On April 3 2004, My stock wheels/tires were stolen, So I had my car towed to the bodyshop, then I got my car back on May 3 2004... I had new rotors/pads replaced, tire pressure sensors on my Volk, New control arms for Front/Rear, new frames, new exhaust, sway bars, new side rocker panels, and some other parts... the Total was $15,000. Before my wheels/tires were stolen, My car never had clicking sound or squeak noise....So I'm assuming either bodyshop didnt do a good job and even i took my car back to the dealership for inspection, they couldnt solve the problem..... So I'm really frustrated....

DUDE,
You have had some serious work done on your car. All that for that noise in the rear? Holy cow! I really hope this fixes your car once and for all. That would drive me nuts!

Sounds like they left his car on the ground when they stole the rims. Ouch...

well my car was left with this pepsi blocks... but when the towing company used wheel lift, they damaged the four rotors and gas tank covers (underneath), damaged exhaust, front engine cover (underneath)....
