Oil drain plug washer question...

I did a SEARCH on this but was unable to come up with "definitive" answers for these following questions.....

I'm getting ready to change the oil on my 2004 G35 coupe (58K miles), I just bought it used.

I bought 5 qts of Mobile1 EP Synthetic oil and a Mobile1 M-108 oil filter.

I've read that some of you guys change the washer on the drain plug when you change your oil.....I have a few questions on it:

1. How often should you change this washer....every oil change?

2. I'm assuming they sell these washers at places like Autozone and Advanced Auto parts, what brand are they? Are these washers a universal fit or do I have to buy a "Specific" washer size for a G35 Coupe?

3. Is it really necessary/recommended to change this washer?

Also, some of you mentioned that 5qts isn't enough when changing out oil and filter....do I need 5.25 qts? Or will I be fine with 5qts?

Any input is greatly appreaciated, thanks guys.

not required, but recommended, 80 cents at your local infiniti/nissan dealer.

I changed mine for the last 50,000 miles ever time. Never once leaked. Torque it to 28 ft lbs.
