What is the next big mod?

Is it just me or does it seem like nothing new has come out for the G lately. For awhile we had exhausts, then intakes, then the plenum was big, next was the high flow cats. Lately though I haven't really heard of much. I'm just curious if anyone has the scoupe on what the next big performance mod will be. I'm not just concerned about NA only, I mean there hasn't been much new FI either. Stillen and ATI have been out for awhile. The Vortec and Greddy TT are not even that new. So what is next? NA? FI? I just want to get excited about the future for our G so someone please help me!

Re: What is the next big mod?

I hope that someone comes out with a plenum that is:
1) Not plastic.
2) Not warped.
3) Designed specifically for the G.

It would also be nice of Technosquare would get busy on releasing their 2004 reflash so I can finish my mods!

Then, I'd like to see a G specific variable nitrous system with integrated gauge pods, somewhere stealth (ie. not A pillar).

Other than that, here's what I see missing still:

1) Integrated bumper mounted deer whistle
2) Bug shield
3) Curb feelers
4) Front windshield visor

2004.5 Coupe/5AT/Ivory/Everything but chin spoiler/Z Tube-Popcharger/Crawford V5 Plenum on the way

If gas prices keep going up the way the are, my next big mod is to drop a Toyota Prius engine under the hood...

LMAO @ Fish's "Integrated bumper mounted deer whistle"!

Along those lines, you ever been driving behind someone with those in a deer-filled area? The deer scatter, and not while you're a mile away. I finally had to pass the fella to avoid scattering deer. Once I did, the deer just stood still as I passed... ...well ahead of the guy with the whistles.

Certainly they work, but do you really want the deer to start darting around all crazy-like when you get up on them? lol

Future G35C Owner... ...Never too soon to think about modifications!!

Maybe the 4.3L stroker kit will be the next big thing. I know it's not really that new. A lot of people have talked about it, but I have not seen anyone who has installed it yet. Curious to see the difference between low compression + FI and high compression + NA.

Re: What is the next big mod?

I haven't heard much about the 4.3L stroker kit. I think I heard some talk about it for the 350Z but not the G35. Anyone have any more info about that? I do know about the JWT TT but haven't heard much past that initial image that showed the two small intercoolers.

Anyone know of any other performance mods coming down the pipeline?

I'd also like to see a tranny cooler and composite drive shaft. It sucks losing 18% of every bolt on's potential to heat.

Those would be great. That is part of the wishlist but I'm wondering what is actually KNOWN to be coming out soon. I'm hoping there are atleast a couple of cool mods headed our way this summer!!

I don't know.. if you compare the initial cost of the Prius to other cars in it's class (like a Civic), and run the numbers, it'll take you many years to break even in fuel savings.

Re: What is the next big mod?

My big mod for today was to remove every stupid pasted on sticker off the car.

And I'm happier now.

Lowered the car weight by about 2 oz.

I gained about 87 oz doing it.

2004 G35C 6MT Black. I stare. And I am content.
