Water gushing noise when accelerating

Did a search on this put can't find any information on this problem, maybe someone can help that has gone through this problem already.

I recently drained my engine coolant and then refilled the coolant.

Ever since I have noticed whenever I accelerate I hear noise that sounds/noise like water is ghushing forward from the dash area.

You don't hear this when your not accelerating, so only when you accelerate I will hear the noise.

Does this have anything to do with there being air in the cooling system or too much coolant in the system?

What do I need to do to get rid of this noise.

Just one of the many many noises in my G35 but this one I cannot live with for sure.

Thanks

it is water going into the heater drive it for awhile and keep a eye on the coolant. I dont think you are going to have a problem

sounds like you have air trapped in the system that you need to bleed out. I had the issue as well.

Most def have air in the system and you will have to bleed it out or it will overheat.

Here is a wild idea - you guys know alot more but.....in my Audi A6
there were drains in the battery compartment that often clogged with
leaves or misc. debris. I had to check them once a year, otherwise there was a "sloshing" sound behind the dash (battery compartment location) meaning the compartment was starting to hold water.

if that happens on a G/M/FX it creates much more than a sloshing sound its more along the lines of a car not starting issue since if you look right by the battery whats there, the IPDM/ER most probably you have an air bubble in the coolant you need to burp the coolant system.

Well I just checked the coolant reservoir and it was empty so I poured some coolant in there...let's see how it sounds for the next couple of days.

Thats not going to do much good as you have an air pocket in the system. Our engines are difficult to get all the air out of the coolant sometimes and you are going to have to burp the system.

I'm having the same problem. I believe it's contributing to the fact that my heater isn't working very well. I don't really get any heat until put my foot on the gas, and even then it's only temporary. I'm either gonna add some coolant or completely flush the system next time I go in for an oil change. I bought my 04 coupe this summer with 71,000 kms on it and don't know if it's ever been flushed before.

Also, this seems helpful:

if you use the funnel kit its a very straight foward process. just fill the funnel about 1/2 way turn the car on set the heat to high and let the car warm up occasionaly reving to about 2.5krpm is fine just to get the fluid moving trough the heater core altough you might not have to. you will see the bubbles coming out. when ur finished just turn the car off plug the funnel and puton the rad cap.!!coolant will b friggin HOTT!!!

Will the funnel stay put when you turn the car on?

I just don't want to get coolant all over the car.

the funnel comes with an attachment to the radiator like a radiator cap with a hole in the middle its sits on there fixed in place. u might want to trow a rag over the top of it tough while u let the air out so it cant splash over the top (depends how much air is stuck in there).

that happened to me when after i finished up the install on my intake spacer.
went away shortly after.

I was due for a coolant flush anyway at that point so i dropped it off with my buddy at the nissan dealer and he took care of it. never had an issue since.
