Is my engine dying?

For the past couple of months i have noticed that my car has been consuming a lot of oil. I change the oil about every 1500 miles because my oil light comes on and the engine starts to make weird noises. I know some of the 6mt have oil consumption problems but mine is 04 5at. Any suggestions on what to do?

Is it out of warranty? If not, take it in.

No worries bro 60K is the bumper-to-bumper but it's only 4 years.

Luckily powertrain is 6yrs/70K

Good news and bad news. Good news, you may have a good excuse to do a build on your engine. Bad news, usually by the time the oil light comes on, it's too late. That lights tells u when it is past where it is safe to run. I hope u atleast shut it off right when the light came on and coasted in neutral to a stop. The light is death
