Question Loudness on Test Pipes with OEM CatBack exhaust with valve?

I just ordered Megan Test Pipes for my 03 MT Coupe. as of now i am planning on keeping the OEM Cat Back because of the relatively low gain:cost ratio but realistically how loud is it going to be? At low rmps will it be fairly unnoticeable until WOT/ High RPMS? and most importantly will i sound ricey?!

how much rasp are we talking? and ive looked around alot but havent seen anything, does anyone put butterfly or some other similar valve in their exhaust to tone it down and help with emissions that can be opened up for times when you want to get on it?

I don't see how a butterfly valve would help at all for emissions.

The stock exhaust tends to rasp when paired with test pipes. (Even resonated ones).

well i got them installed today. Can you say woodie? I love it. Honestly though be prepared to deal with rasp between 2000 and 4000 rpms. over that and it just opens up and sounds mean. under and it sounds stock. Another interesting thing is that for the first hour or two it smelled like hell but after that it dosent really smell too much, im thinking that is just all the built up crap that is getting blown out? Overall the Megan V2 Test Pipes are awesome and i saw the guy do the entire install. They fit perfectly and were super easy to do. great upgrade for about 150! Oh and the power, i almost forgot, you feel it period.

Get the XYZ pipe with resonated section, it's pricey but it sounds great!
