Exclamation Need An Expert On Interlock!

Hello all. I am back with the same problem, but now I have a code. P1730! ""Problem still is the car going into limp mode randomly. Fixed by shutting car off and on a couple of times. Then returns. Sometimes 2 days.. Sometimes 2 mins."" This code points to having a problem with the interlock (shifter/Tranny) First off.. I need to know what where and why about "interlock".I dont know anything about "interlock". Then I need to know if anyone has had this issue. I've tried the forums. Nothing that I can find. Thank you for any input. I am desperate.

Is this a completely stock G35? Model, year? No info = no help.

i need this info to help you out haha. differant wiring diagrams for differant models.

if its a sedan is it awd? rwd?

All AT vehicles have interlock to prohibit cranking in gear, only allow in park or neutral. Usually a simple rotary switch on transmission or within gear shift assembly.

Obviously you haven't spent a week reading the Factory Service Manual which is free to download from many sites:
