Early 03 sedan auto reflash updates:
Particularly addressing the auto shift problems. Here is your quote: it was from 2006.

I requested the 23710-AM604 reflash and cited a slow shifting tranny. But according to the dealer, 31036-AL004 is the most update TCM software.
If the AM604 did improve, how can I get the dealer to flash it to this?
One thing that might have made it difficult is this. 31036... is a TCM p/n. The AL004 represents the software version.
23710 is a ECM p/n and AM604 represents the software version.
So I was insisting on a tranny reflash. So they might have ignored the ecm flash and did the lastest tranny flash.
Should I have insisted on the ecu relfash instead 27310-AM604? But how would that improve the auto shifting if it's an ECM reflash??

This is a rather obscure topic that I've never seen before, and more than likely, your service advisor has never seen it before either. You may have better luck if you ask to speak with the tech directly.
Yea i also got the deer in the headlights look a couple years ago when i asked for the reflash. It really didnt do much at all.......thats why i went with a v/b upgrade and it is one of the best mods i have done.
