Fresh build

New build:

Arias 9:1 Extreme Duty pistons.
Pauter rods
Cosworth Main Bearings
Cosworth Rod Bearings
HKS Head Gaskets
JWT spring and shim kit
ARP L19 Head Studs
ARP Main Studs
Nissan Revup oil pump
AAM Oil pan spacer
Greddy twin turbo kit (freshly rebuilt turbos) / upgraded oil feed lines.
Greddy spark plugs
SVRT atmospheric dump kit
Carbonetic Triple Carbon Clutch
Steel Braided Clutch line

Three built motors in this pic. Mine in the front, Charley's (my350z member), and 'ol grandpa VH45 in the back.

Washing the anti corrosion coating off the bearings.

HIT A SNAG!
I began plastigauging from cylinder 6 all the way to the front, once I got to cylinder #2, I see this and see I have a scored bearing Now I gotta see if the machine shop can smooth this out for me or if I have to scrap the crank.

Had to perform surgery on the crank.

I took a dremel buffing bit and some compound and buffed out the scratch.

Looks like fun, even the surgery part. Good thing you caught that.

The car feels amazing now with the higher compression! I've only put about 150mi so far so i cant really get on it just yet. Can't wait to make another burnout video. Hopefully this time I'll have a cameraman to help out.

It was a tiny scratch that could have seriously messed up the bearing but I managed to smooth it out and it worked out just fine.

Nice work! Did you have a built engine before? I see you said you like the higher 9:1 compression I assume built engine with 8.5:1 before. I was wondering what kind of power differences 9:1 would be to 8.5:1 at say 14-15psi?
