Need help one of my belts broke!

So i was driving on the freeway today on my way home and as i turn off the off ramp my steering starts to feel heavy as if the power steering went out my house isnt that far off the freeway so i risk it and go home, when i get home i open my hood to find that the front belt is broken im not the most car tech savy person but after searching i found that we dont have timing belts but timing chains so what was broken most likely wasnt the timing chain, now my question is what belt is this and is it a easy fix? i want to make sure i know what the problem is before i go into get it fixed so i dont get ripped off, also is this belt related to power steering? as my power steering went off as this broke thanks in advanced!

that belt looks like it runs your fan, alternator, water pump, etc... take care of that asap. A belt shouldn't cost that much, just buy one and tackle it yourself if your mechanically inclined (its not hard at all). Or you can take it to a mechanic but chances are you'll get ripped off for such an easy fix.

Here is the how to page http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=349821

Good luck.
