Oil Cooler

After reading a bit on the Synthetic Oil issue and the VQ35DE "REV-UP", I was wondering about an Oil cooler. I read that there is significant main and rod bearing wear at oil temps above 200*F. So would adding a cooler be a good idea?

the OP doesnt have a turbo so his oil should never get that hot unless he tracks his car.

so, no you dont need one. got $2-300 to burn, then sure why not. Make sure to get one with a thermostatic sandwich plate though

I agree with this, though I have no direct experience. Just this morning, though, I was looking at a Stillen finned alu oilpan - adds 1 qt capacity and the fins help to cool the oil. Still probably unnecessary, but looks kinda cool.
