These oil caps have tiny allen (sp?) bolts in each corner on the top. Apparently, they are there for cosmetic purposes. Last week when I was racing my car at Big Willow, I decided to remove my oil caps for whatever reason. When I did, I found four of the tiny bolts sitting right on the edge of oil opening. Luckily, none of them fell into my engine and I removed the remaining two b4 they could come out. I've contacted the distributer and made him aware of this issue and he said he'd look in to it.

So, that's what you guys were talking about. Good catch by Ed. Apply some red thread lock and you should be fine.

Good catch. Funny how some people will freak over this, yet will happily install short loose bolts (with loctite) inside their aftermarket intake plenums. Yikes!

Yea When we went to the Track Ed and I were like HOLY BEEEP. HA HA im glad you got this figured out.
You gotta get the nismo one. its the most relable one. That is if you get one.

bebe...that's not the same oil cap...but that's not to say that you won't have the same problem...all I did was remove the bolts and it still looks BLING

How, exactly, can an oil cap be "high performance"? It's a cap for chirrsake!

it's not high performance...but I CAN see where the billet aluminum helps with heat discipation. I got it for looks though.
