Re: www.hidking.com

Hey moog, you might want to check out www.globalpremier.com, they have a variety of D2R bulbs for cheap. thou I wouldn't rely on their pictures to tell what the bulbs really look like... has anyone ordered from them before?

Re: www.hidking.com

I ordered the 6000K D2R but I think they sent the D2S instead because they are missing the silver band on the bubl like my stock bulbs but oh well I like them alot. The color is nice and bright. It's a bluish white color much like how our stock bulbs look when you first turn it on. I was about to order these for $280 elsewhere until I saw this post. I think I'll order another set for spares.

Re: www.hidking.com

From what I read on the hidking auctions, some of the bulbs are made to fit both D2R and D2S, which would explain the missing band.

Re: www.hidking.com

Your using the wrong bulb. If you have D2S you need to change it to D2R. This will cause problems later on with your lighting system. To be in detail, it will mess up the ballast for your Xenon lights.

If i were you i would change them.

Re: www.hidking.com

Rashman-

could you please expalin why D2S bulbs are bad for the ballasts? I always thought they were the same just that the D2R have a ceramic band made for reflector style headlamps like the G's. I'm not gonna get the D2S's but i'm just curious.

thanks.

Re: www.hidking.com

just got my 6000K bulbs from Global Premier off eBay...didn't go w/ HID king cuz their bulbs don't have the D2R band across the bulb like it should. I want to make sure I don't have any stray light being emitted like a D2S might have.

Will have pics up tomorrow night.

First and foremost, i know this thread is really, really old but i just had to bring it back to get some more questions answered...

How has your service been with those of you who ordered thru HIDKing.com?? I ordered some bulbs back on December 1st, and well it is now december 13 and i haven't gotten anything. The guy "Adam" sent me a confirmation email saying he would ship them out the next day. My question is this, i have called him, emailed him numerious times and still no response, i'm gonna report him tomorrow thru Paypal, since thats how i went about paying him!

Any comments on how hidking.com treated you guys???

Never mind that last post, just checked the office of my Apartment complex, damn box has been sitting there for a week. It seems like Moog is right, hidking.com sells d2r and d2s bulbs which seem like they fit either housing. they are definately missing the band tho, i'm a little worried about that, since it will cause unnecessary glare. Its strange because the bulb is labled "D2R 35W" but doesn't have the bandd, im guessing this guy maybe rebases his d2s bulbs to fit a d2r...who knows

i'll post pics soon on the outcome.

There is also www.hidynamic.com... 109 a pair and fast shipping, i got D2R 8000k's for my G and took a few days to really break the color in and now it looks great with good light output!! Check my car out in this little video clip, the camera over exaggerates the blue color, as you can see it turned the street lights deep blue also, but it looks similar with more white, the output is amazing and believe it or not looks brighter than stock!

Are these HIDs off-brand, made by someone other than the big players such as Philips or Sylvania? Is anyone concerned about or had issues with the short lamp life from generic HID bulbs?
