Replaced The Brake Shift Solenoid, To No Avail...Need Some Insight

When I press my brakes, my shifter is still stuck in my 5AT. I have to literally force it out of Park. I thought it would be the brake shift solenoid, thought the solenoid motor was bad making the plastic piece not retract when I press the brakes for a smooth shift. I replaced it and nothing happened.

What are the next steps for me to diagnose this?
There are two or three wires I believe running form the solenoid, two go to a larger kind of wire system while one wire runs to some kind of small clicker on the back side of the solenoid housing.

To Add: Both my Emergency lights button and my PRND all light up, which all go to the same power system i believe, my brake lights also work.

I will post a picture if I still have it. Ignore the Red Boxes..

I would really like to get this fixed correctly, I am thinking about just duct taping the shift lock down if I can't figure any of this out.

Just disable it and be done with it. The whole asinine idea of having to apply the brake pedal to shift out of park was caused by some idiot Audi driver back in the late '80s. They sued Audi because they accidentally shifted into drive with the gas pedal floored and jammed the car into their house (the original 'unintentional acceleration'). Audi responded by adding the brake pedal thing and the Feds saw fit to make it a law soon after for all new cars with automatic trannies.

Well if i could possibly be an easy fix I would rather attepmt that. But last resort I would disable it.

Anyone know the next things I should look for to find the problem??
