synthetic oil

Re: synthetic oil
It seems like everyone is having their own opinion on the Synthetic Oil usuage. Personally I like ot use synthetic because its the best so is my G. I happen to be lucky enough to listen in to some Technician at Porsche dealership and Honda. Both of them recommended not to use Synthetic oil for the new car due to it prevent the proper break in of engine. Honda tech indicating never do a remature oil change for the first time due to the oil that's in your new car actually have specially additive to help break in the piston rings. Premature oil change might cause problems in the long run. Can't exactly remember the mileage they said but its somewhere after the 10,000 miles if customer insist to switch over to Synthetic.

Re: synthetic oil
M500, I posted earlier in this thread. 20 people will have 20 opinions on motor oil and I was right!!! I agree with you on the issue of not using synthetic during break in because of the special additives used in the oil. I am only at 1.2K now and plan to change at about 5K with dino oil.
