What DaveB said. But first decide if the gains are worth the money spent. How much faster would you like to be in the 1/4 mile?

the stillen intake comes with a heat shield if youre interested in a little extra induction noise. a reflash will help the car make sense of all the upgrades too

im sorry I am sort of a noob to the whole mod stuff but can you get a Stillen Intake+z-tube+jwd popcharger or z-tube+popcharger without the stillen intake? And can u get the K&N drop ins regardless or what?

I'll be nice since I see that you are actually searching. IMO your question makes no sense. Stillen intake consists of the z tube and stillen cone air filter. the POP charger is a cone air filter. The K&N filter is a replacement flat OE air filter. Out of all those air filter you can combine it with the Z tube.

Just angry that lately there is so many "I'm new what mod should I go with." "What are good mods for the G." etc.. The thing is some threads that ask the same question are right next to each other . Otherwise welcome post pic of your G when you get it

This is almost exactly what I have setup.

I have the Z-Tube with Stillen Intake ($150 used), and Motordyne 5/16" spacer ($180 new). Total = $330

Those mods right there will give you the absolute best sound, noticeable power increase, and daily driveability. I have a 2004 Automatic coupe and those mods are the only mods I ever planned to do to the engine, and i have 75k miles on my car. It sounds great, is easy to install/uninstall yourself, and gives you all the power you need to drive daily and floor the pedal and hear the beautiful VQ engine sound!

Stop thinking about it and just do it already!

I do quite a bit of highway driven, so I'm not to concerned about the 1/4 mile. Besides you would really need to dump some cash in these suckers to really get alot of extra bang to really inprove the 1/4! not to mention punching it red light to red light can get pretty costly on the gas. I like a high top speed and a good acceleration while over 80mph. Since I do alot of the Highway driven my general speed is usually around 85-90mph. When I'm in the need for some speed I like being over 135mph. My ohh so missed beamer used to fly. Did 178mph like nothing, think top speed was around 200-210mph, but never had a chance to get that high. The 178mph was against a CLS 500, once we were over 160 it was all about who had the bigger grapefruits hahaha.... It was night as well on a highway notorious for vascar ticketing traps but good luck w/ them if they would of been out that night.

Anyway back to the G! I assume this car is governed at 155mph (stock)? As for off the line i'm not to concerned to much about that I really don't think the G is super quick of the line kinda car. now that I'm talking about top speeds does anyone know the stock G's top speed and how simple is it to get removed. Plus, with some of the mods everyone has mentioned how much of a top speed difference do they make if any?

BTW Is there a section on this site for selling stuff? I have just about a Brand new set of 17" ASA Revolution Rims mounted w/ 90% tread Bridgestone Blizzak's that I'm trying to get rid of. Is there somewhere I can post that?

Thanks again Everyone!

talk of street racing is not allowed (i dont think) on this forum, so keep it to yourself anyways topspeed i think caps around 154 or so but a couple of members have gone faster with different mods, can't remember which. I'd get a spacer (they go for around $150-280 depending on which one you go with) I'd get the Motordyne (MD) 5/16" iso thermal

phab007,
Just wanted to make sure you had realistic expectations about the very minimal gains from intake and spacer. It seems alot of people here think they will be faster from a couple bolt ons.

This thread was about the different mods to go w/ for the G, well while were discussing those options I asked about speeds and if they are governed and how would you remove them and by adding the mods listed in this post what would they do for it form a top speed stand point. How is that not relevent to the post? (yes, ok I admit other parts were me rambling, I'm new to this whole forums edicate? I apoligize and won't speak about certain topics as well).

Thank you-

Of course I understand that overall the mods discussed in this thread are very minor ones and arn't going to make a huge difference.

Thanks again for your input.
