Oil Pan and/or Extension?

Has anyone seen the oil pan extension on Stillen.com? It is a piece of machined aluminum stock that fits between the top of the oil pan to the bottom of the engine, spanning about 1" and adding 1-qt effective engine oil capacity. What about the gasket(s) that seal that extension in there? You'd need two oil pan gaskets (for top and bottom), wouldn't you?

On a similar note...

On the Power Enterprise site, they feature a replacement oil pan for the Z33's VQ35DE that offers an addtional 1-qt engine oil capacity, with baffles cast into the inside of the pan and cooling fins casted into the outside of the pan. What do you know about that? Would it fit our G35s, too?

Why not install *both* of these items, and push oil capacity to 7 quarts???

Any comments on the relative merit of these two items?

Here's one one I'm thinking about.

Re: Oil Pan and/or Extension?

The oil pan extension you saw on JWT's site looks like the one on the Stillen site. At least the pictures seem to match. Will engine oil slosh more in what would effectively be a deeper pan? If so, it could cause intermittent oil starvation under hard acceleration, cornering, and braking. Or, is our OEM pan blessed with baffles? Why would you increase oil capacity if you'd also increase the likelihood of oil starvation?

Anyone else care to contribute their .02?
