plugs are great, the laser platinums are OEM. one step colder is acutally recommended for even stock G's in a year round warm climate or if ur usually on high RPMs. old boy from Technosquare recommended the LP of IR, say's the VQ responds better to LP.

Hrmm. I'll have to go with those next time around and see if I notice a difference.

One step colder bad in cold environments??

Since we are talking about the ignition system this will greatly increase spark and actually gain wheel horse power. There is a guy on my350z who saw 30 more wheel horse power after he added this.

^^^ funny, I was just re-researching that system earlier tonight… I looked into it a yr or 2 ago (or 3) and wasn’t convinced it was worth considering… 30 rwhp is highly suspect. I simply do not believe just an ignition amplifier will give those gains. And if it did, there would be boatloads of us using it with tons of dyno charts.

I remember reading a post by Q45tech that was quite logical – I could never quote it, but it’s a good read and one of the many things that had me ignore the mod originally.

I believe that about as much as a certain shop showing a gain of 5whp+ with a throttle body spacer The ignition system on these cars is more than powerful enough to handle even the most demanding and powerful setups.

Seriously man, you're getting to obsessed with every possible NA mod available for these cars. The TB spacer was proof of that. Don't do it

i have the DLI II, not a power adder. what it does do is keep the spark strong at high speed. Nissan designed the spark to die out to slow you down, like non-100% e-throttle. you can really feel the difference at around 70mph+. it just continues to pull, well passed 100mph. combined w/100% throttle post-reflash, it's a great time. in short, keeps ur spark at optimal levels, that's what made it worth it for me. as for the guy posting the BIG gains, my guess is he was just fixing a BIG loss w/the system.

Dave B requires proof before trying and then advocating something. But when he does, he will post pics, dyno and/or track times to back up what he supports.

Some here have all the mods in the world but no dyno support. Not to say what they recommend is false/true, just that there could be better supporting data.
