Random Temperatures while driving (04 AT)
Recently my car has been acting a bit funny. I can be driving in the street and all of sudden my temp gauge goes to the 2nd highest line and eventually goes back down to normal. On the freeway, it will go up and then go back down right away. Should i begin to worry more ![Frown](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
What is weird is that this begins after a while of driving and it has become an annoyance having my gauge go up. Any idea what it could be?

Hey, i'm actually have the same problem with my coupe. I'll be driving and the temp would shoot up to the same spot and stay there. When i do turn on the heater to try and get the temp down, it'll only blow out cold air. Sometimes it does blow out warm air and that's when the temp needle drops. Any suggestions?

Ok I had this exact problem. First off I replaced my Thermostat with the nismo, but I don't think that alone did the trick. What I did was took the cap off both the radiator and the small cap on the hose in the back left of the engine bay. I let the car heat up with the caps off. It allowed the air bubbles to flow out of the radiator cap and the small hose cap. It bubbled for some time and I had to add a good amount of coolant. This process took about an hour but after a good amount of time and coolant the small hose had a steady flow of coolant flowing out with no bubbles at all. I will do a DIY if you guys still dont figure it out.
