hey i have a 05 coupe 6mt and i was driving today and all of a sudden the car shut off when it was still moving... what the hell happend?

 

That has happened to me a few times over the last 5 years. Since I was moving, it restarted itself anyway. It has happened recently, but usually when I switch from "D" to reverse - that one I had to restart myself. I thought it may have been connected to electronic shifting, but who knows...

 

I had similar condition with my car. It started to happen more with time. Car always started back up but usually check engine light would come on.
Found the cause to be a failed cam position sensor.
