I heard that the CATZ Hyper White LEDs were really white so I got them and they are blue...like really blue.

I want LEDs but what LEDs are really just pure white and no blue whatsoever???

OR should I just stick to PIAA Xtreme White 168/194 wedge bulbs that are not LEDs...cuz they are very white just not as bright as I would like.

I have the PIAA's and put them in after removing the LED's I installed in the interior. IMHO, the PIAA's were about 100X brighter than the LED's and they weren't nearly as blue! For some reason, white LED's cast a blue hue to them. I kept white LED's in the trunk light, license plate light, and clearance lights in front. In that 964 size, they actually seemed brighter than PIAA's.

Hi Sportcoupe35,
Your "white" LEDs seem blue because they are. The LED manufacturer places a YAG phospor over the blue LED to create a semi-white light. Unfortunately the LED maker won't bin the LED by color temp w/o the buyer paying thru the ear. So your set of bulbs may be different from the next. The only way to create true white light with LED is to mix Red (aprx 30%), Green (aprx 62%), and Blue (aprx 8%).
