Whirring/resonating after dealer "fixed" it... Help!
Anywhere from 1500-2400 rpm there is a whirring/wooing/resonating sound coming from the front/engine. Around 2500 the sound peaks, very loud. 2500 happens to be around 70 mph, so cruise control at 70 is miserable with this ever-present sound.
This is an 03 sedan with 77k (just bought it 2 weeks ago), and there was also a scraping sound which sounded like brakes, so I took it to the dealer for these 2 reasons.
The dealer said the E-brake cable was scraping the driveshaft and said that was the very loud whirring sound, they replaced the belts, did rear diff and coolant flush plus oil change and I was on my way.
But when getting back on the highway tonight the whirring/resonating sound is still present, and still very loud.
Should I take the car back to the dealer and ask them to drive it again but on the highway? Should I get a second opinion?
My steering is also very tight, my first G experience hasn't been exactly what I thought it would be. I had an 02 Maxima GLE and thought the G would be amazing...
