Re: Installing grounding kit?

i dont have one, havent read about this, but have read a lot about grounding kits. I am guessing that it doesnt matter how tight they are on there because i'm guessing that to ground the ground point.... it just has to be TOUCHING the ground and that point. i doubt that it must me just MASHED by some bolt.... these are just assumtions however....

2004 Black on Black g coupe 6spd.... aluminum pedals, clear corners, z tube, and pop charger. soon to have 19" volk gt-c's and PIAA xtreme whites in the clearance and corners

Just be sure to NOT overtighten to prevent stripping the threads.
Tighten such that the bolt is secure. Common sense should tell
you when it is tight enough.

Re: Installing grounding kit?

Usually 6 or 7 ft-lbs are enough. The exception is when it is a structural bolt such as the plenum sandwich bolt which should be torqued to factory spec (~10 ft-lb)

More important is how good the crimp on the lug terminal is, as well as how clean the connection point is that you're attaching it to.
