your logic is flawed IMHO. If this was truly the case, they would have put a z tube, crawford like plenum, clear bra (lol) better y-pipe that doesn't have crush bends, etc.......

"doesnt matter. either one is goin to rub a hole in your ac line. check you the thread at the top labeled aftermarket cai read asap."
NEITHER ONE is going to rub a hole in your ac line, IF you know how to install it properly. My Injen is no where near the ac line.

exhaust and pulleys are not MUST HAVE imho...
exhaust only makes more sound, and pulleys are too much for the hp gains... not very noticeable. imho.

exhaust does not just make more sound. The sound you hear is a freer flowing engine. the better an engine inhales and EXHALES, the more power it is allowed to produce.
As far as the pulley, I noticed a quicker response on the throttle...
here are my performance mods on an 03.5 5AT sedan with approx retails:
Stillen Hi-Flow airbox - $190
350z duct (thermal wrapped) - $75
UR Crank pulley - $180
Crawford v5 plenum - $600 (kept core)
Crawford cats - $450
Stillen dual exhaust - $964
TS ECU - $495 (discounts avail for SCGOA members)
GroundingGear $125

Muuuuustttt Haaaaave another pooooooost!!!!!!!!
For the exhaust, the sound you hear is less sound attenuation in the pipes and muffler.
You would not hear a difference due to the flow increase only.
It is easy to make it louder and still have less flow.........

Re: After Market Products Must Have !
exhaust has been proven to give very small gains.... its dyno proven over and over. I mean.. there are gains... but not enough to justify 1000 dollars. Buy it for th sound and then any gains that u get... all the better.
this is what i say from what iver read (u cant read my mods in the bottom of my post)
Crawford cats - 450
Crawford plenum 400 if u send in ur old one 600 if u keep it
ztube + popcharger - 200
TechoSquare ECU - 500
thats about 2k and about the most bolt on performance u'll get. I left off pullies because i have heard of problems with them hurting reliability of your car. Grounding kits are a matter of opinion.... i dont know if they do anything or not, but most peole who DO like them, dont like them for hp gains but for the smoothness it adds to shifts (AT). Honestly tho.... none of these mods are gonna make MUCH of a difference. our engines just dont respond well to mods.
headers, exhuast and pullies would be relativly cheap mods to get relativly small gains also (~$1000).
U could get cams but that would be about 3000 for marginal gains as well....
i dunno tho.. im probably going to get plenum, cats, exhaust, and ts ecu and be done with my car (im getting volks before all that ~3000) and thne my plenum, cats, exhaust and ecu for another 2000. I will probably also get tein basics, camber arms front and rear, and sways.... but im not geting all of this at the same time. I am getting it little by little
2004 Black on Black g coupe 6spd.... aluminum pedals, clear corners, z tube, and pop charger. soon to have 19" volk gt-c's and PIAA xtreme whites in the clearance and corners
