Why the 20 HP diff in Coupe / Sedan

Can anyone tell me why there is a difference in the HP on the two cars? I have the Sedan and would like to know if it is a simple upgrade or if the exhaust is the reason. It does not make any sense that there would be a difference. Please help.

A few things, but mostly exhaust and more agressive timing. That is why we requie the 93 octane gas.

Dual exhaust, polished intake, and aggressive timings in the engine computer. And I thought it required 91, not 93. 93's not even available in SoCal.

besides the exhaust configuration, it might just be a marketing thing. The g35 coupe 6mt pretty much has the same HP and torque as the 350z, plus or minus just 1 or 2.

Re: Why the 20 HP diff in Coupe / Sedan

I read some where they only reason the coupe has the extra hp is because the sedan weights a little less and if it had the same hp then the coupe and sedan would basicly have the same perfromace maybe a little better for the sedan because it a little lighter.

Please tell me what you mean? Are they pulling our legs on this one? Do we really have the same HP? My car only has 400 miles and I can not wait for the 1200 to get here to find out what I really have. Please tell?????
