I don't think anyone who builds their G or puts out for some turbos wants one of those... its on a completely different level.

Screw putting money into a G. Just use that money and get a CTS-V

x2...I love those cars!

Twin turbo the G with two T3 50trim Stage 1 .36 and you'll have the torque of a diesel engine ( full boost should be around 2500rpm give or take, which is over 1000rpm sooner than most turbo kits sold for this engine ) and still be able to put out 400whp.

Stock CTS-V. Done.

Even ttrank with 40-50k invested couldn't touch a stock CTS-V, or have nearly as nice interior, or still have warranty, or look as good, or sound as good, or have the resale value.

He'd have to get the prev gen CTS-V. Which is still very powerful. Looks are eh.. and the 6 lug wheels are a wtf feature. I'd still rock one though.

I do not like the older gen much. I would still rock it too. I think I will still take a prior gen CTS-V over a boosted G35 sedan, I dunno.

I was mostly comparing it to the sedan guys that go crazy. 30k for the car and another 40k in mods, you are in new CTS-V range and still cannot compare on any level.

Dont get me wrong. I love ttranks car. But I dont think it can even hold a candle to a new CTS-V.

I like the CTS-V...but they aren't nearly what you would have in Tim's car. Not even close.

I highly doubt this. Tims will tear the CTS-V a new one in a straight line. Tim ran a 12.3@126mph with a 2.2 60' time which is just sad for those traps, he obviously had ridiculous wheel spin. Put some REAL tires on and he should be well in the 11's at 130mph. The CTS-V runs mid 12's at just 115mph give or take. Especially in a street race, it would be abusive.

Tims car also has far more massive brakes than the CTS-V does and also weighs less. The only limiting factor is his wheel/tire choice which may o may not allow him to stop better.

Turning is where I doubt he could take a V. His car is far to low with wheels to big ( and more importantly, tires to thin ) to be a great turning machine...could be wrong though but I think the V would have it beat.

I agree. Put on realistic 18s on Tim's car (vs his 20s) and some sticky/wide rubber and he'll be doing upper 11s. Put on some 18" DRs and it will do lower 11s. He has enough trapspeed to go upper 10s, but it will take slicks and a prayer the tranny/axles hold.

The current gen CTS-V is a nice ride, but for my money, I'd rather be seen in an equally as fast M3 sedan that would run circles around the CTS-V on a road course.

I have a motortrend mag that says otherwise... the CTS-V actually beat the M3 in a road course.Even if they were close, I wouldn't say the M3 would run circles around it. The CTS-V was also 6 seconds faster in the Nurburgring.

Tims car might be slightly faster than a stock CTS-V but cannot compare in sound, looks, features, interior, or trackability. Again I stress, STOCK CTS-V. Take a LS engine, add acouple very simple breather mods and tune, easily have over 600 hp and still be under warranty.

Slightly faster? Trapping 15mph more in the 1/4 mile is not "slightly faster"...it's total annihalation. It's the difference between a CTS-V and a Corvette ZR1 to be more specific.

Plus, what makes you think a 600hp CTS-V will still carry a drivetrain warranty?
