Coolant Bleeder Valve

Hey Guys.

I changed out my coolant not too long ago. In the FSM is says to replace the O-ring located at the bleeder valve. I didnt even see an O-ring. I called the dealership and asked them and the parts manager said that he had no listing of such an o-ring for the bleeder valve.

Will someone take a pic of this bleeder valve with said O-ring for me..so I can compare with mine?

Thanks

-John

Are you talking about the heater hose bleeder valve? If so, I just replaced my plug last week and there was no o-ring.

Yup. MSRP was like $7 for that little fawker. Surprisingly, my local dealership had it in stock. Didn't have a damn Nismo Rad Cap, but they had this part.

I couldn't find a part number online, but my parts guy was able to find it on their computer real quick.

I completely stripped it from using the wrong sized Philips. I had to remove the heater hose, take a pair of pliers, and torque the fawker off. I have made it a point to carry a new Philips screwdriver that fits it perfectly. It is now called my 'use it or pay $7 to replace the damn plastic screw screwdriver'.

I stripped the head on it I think due to it being on tight from the last time and getting it very hot to burb the bubble I had when the t stat would not open.

cool. I guess there is no o-ring for the bleeder screw. I'll just ensure its tight...but try not to strip it.

Are you talking about the air relief plug? There's an o-ring on the plug and also an o-ring on the coolant drain plug.
