vaccum line

What is this line for?? It has a one-way valve in the hose.

I bought a powder coated plenum and the guy plugged the port off the plenum.
Should I re-tap a hole or is there a way to go around it?
Here is a picture of the stock plenum with the port that is missing on the new one.<a href="http://s35.photobucket.com/albums/d199/Layedout95/?action=view&current=IMG_0799.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d199/Layedout95/IMG_0799.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

That hose contains a check valve for the braking system. You will need to retain the check valve and connect it to a vacuum source somewhere. It doesn't need to be connected to the port on the plenum.
