its only been a month and about 700 and my popcharger is all grey. i heard that it filters better when its all dirty. how long should i wait til i clean and re-oil? im trying to clean and re-oil the least amount of times possible to avoid maf damage.

 

The K&N recharge kit says (I'm trying to remember so if I'm a little off, don't shoot me) every 25,000 or 50,000 miles. I'd recommend doing it maybe once a year (say around your b-day or on Christmas so you won't forget). If there is no visible dirt on it, it is working. One test is to remove the pipe clamp, take off the filter and touch the inside of the filter. You should still feel a slight oily residue on the inside.
