I prob will once my warranty is up. Spacer + intake track mods.

No exhaust though. I just don't want my car louder than it is now.

I did the mrev2 and spacer then called it quits. If the car you have isn't fast enough then buy a faster car.

My power modding experience

First off, I modded my suspension because handling well was my priority. Secondly I upgraded front brakes because stopping well was more important than going faster.
Thirdly, I put in a lightweight flywheel and heavy duty clutch. That freed up torque and made the car feel a little quicker.

Only then did I touch power. To get power, without FI, my understanding is the keys are to improve intake airflow, exhaust flow AND tune to take advantage.

The biggest improvement and biggest bang for buck came with the plenum spacer. Everything else made small incremental gains. Z-tube, K&N Filter, high flow cats, coupe mid pipe and Osirus tuning has given me satisfactory power gains and sound for about $1500 all in, but I shopped opportunistically and only paid $300 for the cats. I suspect I've bumped power from stock 260hp towards 290-300hp but I never dyno'd so I don't really know. I do know it makes a very noticeable amount more than stock and can chirp tires through 4th gear.

My previous sedan had ebay test pipes, skunk plenum spacer, ebay headers and custom exhaust and it went from 206whp to 242whp. I spent about $1K.

You must include hours of ordering, installing etc and normalize them to say $85 per hour to properly reflect the true cost.

Anyway after the first easy 10 rwheel HP gain each one their after costs ~ $100 each
Torque is more expensive at ~ $150 each lb/ft.

Important to specific EPA legal or not as most are not wanting to become felons.

Just because you don't get caught doesn't mean you are not a criminal.

Thanks a lot for the info, this helps me with my decision on what I plan to do for my G. I probably try to piece together an exhaust and probably do plenum spacer and call it a day.

I was curious, did you tune your sedan when you added those mods, or just run it on a dyno?

No tune, and I did all the install myself so saved a few bucks there.

Well, I was just about to pull the trigger on some Berk HFCs, but now I'm Mr. Hesitant. Any noticeable power and sound advantages with them with an otherwise stock exhaust? And the big question - are they worth $450 plus install?
